Today, the 12th May 2022 would have been Alice's 29th birthday. It is the first birthday without her but I remember all the birthdays through her life, from sitting among the cowslips as a one year old, birthday parties and birthday treats as she grew; at 21 an afternoon tea at the Savoy and then the treasured 'mother and daughter' days out in recent years - Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, picnics and presents. Last year, her last birthday, a seafood feast cooked on the barbecue; her first taste of prawns and mussels - she wanted to experience it all. A treasured person, deeply loved and missed.
